PROUD CAT DAD 1ST,
DESIGNER 2ND.
Gotta keep food in the bowl, you know what I’m saying?
I’m Benjamin Mays, a Graphic Designer based in Manchester in Richmond, VA. I’ve been doing this for 6+ years now, and over that time I’ve gotten pretty comfortable jumping into a brand, figuring out what actually matters, and making things that not only look good but hold up in the real world.
When I’m not working, things don’t really slow down much. I’ve got a gray tabby named Suki who still thinks attacking my feet at night is part of her routine, and I spend a lot of time messing with my project cars, which usually turns into me fixing something I definitely caused. My place is also slowly filling up with plants, so it’s starting to feel more like a greenhouse than an apartment. Somewhere in the middle of all that I’ve had the itch to get back on a motorcycle again, which feels like a decision I’ll probably justify later. If I’m not doing any of that, I’m usually gaming, checking out a brewery, or just hanging with friends with a latte in hand.
If you’ve got something you need help with, I’m always down to take on something new and see where it goes.

PROUD CAT DAD 1ST,
DESIGNER 2ND.
Hello there! I’m Benjamin Mays. I’m a designer based in Richmond, VA where I enjoy the river, the breweries, and making the most of everything the city has to offer.
My work spans print, digital, and environmental design. From event branding and marketing collateral to packaging and websites. I’m big on clarity, consistency, and finding the balance between creativity and purpose.
Outside of work, you can usually find me by the river, exploring a new brewery, or contemplating whether I should finally sell my car and buy something objectively worse. I’ve also been toying with the idea of getting another motorcycle, because clearly I enjoy making impractical decisions. At home, I’m supervised by my cat Suki, who keeps things unpredictable and keeps me on schedule, whether I like it or not.
If you’re looking for a designer who brings thoughtful design, dry humor, and way too many browser tabs to the table, I’m your guy. Let’s connect.
